Scholarship Application Deadline Extended:
Brothers and Sisters,
Due to the Covid-19 situation, many schools are closed or severely understaffed. The result is that many students are unable to get their transcripts and receipts from their educational institutions in time for the standard application deadline of June 30th.
Therefore, the Local Union Scholarship Committee has extended the application deadline this year to October 31, 2020 It is hoped that by then most schools will be re-opened, if not for classes, at least for administration activities and thus make it possible for applicants to get their needed documents.
We sincerely regret that this will delay disbursement of awards until the end of the year, but we believe this to be the fairest way to make it possible for all applicants that are legitimately eligible to avail themselves of this benefit.
Change to the LU131 Annuity Fund COMPLETE!
The Local Union 131 Annuity Fund is now active and managed by Mass Mutual.
